Antenna Beamwidth:

  • It is the angular separation between two identical points on opposite sides of the pattern maximum of an antenna
  • Types of Beamwidth:
    • Half Power BeamWidth (HPBW)
    • First Null BeamWidth (FNBW) or Beamwidth between First Nulls (BWFN) 
  • Factors affecting the Beamwidth:
    • The shape of the radiation pattern
    • Dimensions of the antenna
    • Wavelength
