Characteristics of Type-I Chebyshev Filter:

  • It contains only the poles in the transfer function 
  • No zeros in H(s)
  • Equiripple behaviour exists in the passband
  • It has monotonic characteristics in the stopband
  • Simple computation

Characteristics of Type-II Chebyshev Filter:

  • It contains both poles and zeros in the transfer function 
  • Equiripple behaviour exists in the stopband
  • It has monotonic characteristics in the passband
  • Complex
