Comparison of Positive Feedback and Negative Feedback

Comparison of Positive Feedback and Negative feedback:

Positive Feedback:

  • When an input signal and feedback signal both are in-phase, it is known as positive feedback.
  • The feedback signal is added to the input signal to get the desired output
  • It is also known as Regenerative Feedback
  • It is used in Oscillator Circuits
  • Poor stability

Negative Feedback:

  • When the input signal and the feedback signal both are out-of-phase, it isknownas negative feedback
  • The feedback signal is subtracted from the input signal
  • It is also known as Degenerative Feedback
  • It is widely used in Amplifier Circuits
  • High Stability
