Helmholtz's Theorem: (Decomposition Theorem)

Statement:

It states that any sufficiently smooth, rapidly decaying vector field in three dimensions can be resolved into the sum of an irrotational (Curl-free) vector field and a solenoidal ( Divergence- free) field.
