Resistors in Parallel Connection:
- Resistors are connected across one another
- One terminal of each resistor is connected to form a junction point while the remaining ends are also joined to form a common junction point
- Voltage source is connected between the junction points and voltage is same across all the resistors
- Current passing through each resistance is difference and the current is divided depending on the values of R1, R2,.....Rn
Advantages:
- All electrical appliances are connected in parallel. Each one of them can be controlled by a separate switch
- If break occurs in any of the branches, it will not affect the entire circuits
- Ex: House wiring, etc.,
